Congratulations to team “The Winosaurs” with a 2020 Michael David Petite Petit Syrah. Winners Alyssa Phillips, Amber Vaccaro & Rachel Self walked away with 33 bottles of wine!
Hosted by our Jr. Board, this modern, social, charitable, blind wine-tasting competition that has raised more than $100,000 for Boys & Girls Clubs (BGC) of San Dieguito since the inception.
The outdoor even hosts colleagues, family members and friends joining together to support a great cause while participating in this happy hour style event consisting of over 100 bottles of wine for tasting, light food and friendly competition. Guests then have access to a plethora of Del Mar’s chic restaurants and bars, all within walking distance for a night out on the town or dinner out.
Net proceeds from this event go help keep our doors open for the youth and families who need us most. For 57 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito has navigated times of triumph and crisis to provide safe places for kids and teens, ensuring that all our community’s youth have equitable access to quality programs and services to enhance their lives and shape their futures. Our Club has grown significantly since its’ inception and is now the second largest Boys & Girls Club organization in San Diego County, serving more than 4,600 registered members and impacting more than 10,600 kids and teens throughout all our programs combined. Last year, we award more than $385,000 in financial assistance annually throughout our seven clubhouses and seven specialty programs, staying true to our commitment that no child will be turned away, no matter their family’s financial situation.

Make a Difference
Founded in 1966, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito is the longest-serving youth nonprofit in the San Dieguito community, with no child turned away due to their family’s financial situation. Our programs focus on three main outcomes: Good Character & Citizenship, Academic Success, and Healthy Lifestyles. We level the playing field through activities in our core program areas: the Arts; Character & Leadership Development; Education & Career Development; Health & Life Skills; Sports, Fitness & Recreation; and Technology.
Our 7 Clubhouses and 7 specialty programs throughout Carmel Valley, Del Mar, Encinitas, & Solana Beach served more than 4,600 youth members and impact over 10,600 San Diego youth in 2022. Last year, we award over $385,000 in financial assistance through our after-school & specialty programs, (Aquatics/Rancho San Dieguito Swim Team, Athletics/BIG 8 Middle School Sports, Bulldogs Basketball, Carmel Valley Montessori School, Centers For a Healthy Lifestyle, Summer Adventure Camps and Youth Arts Academy), to ensure all local youth can have the foundation for a GREAT FUTURE.
