Statement on the Death of George Floyd

As we all attempt to process the current events in our country, we would like to take a moment to express our sadness and sympathy. Our hearts are with all of those who are hurting and we stand with you. At Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito, we are committed to offering a safe, supportive, and inclusive place for ALL young people in our community, as well as our staff. In an effort to assist families when talking to children about racism, here are a few articles that may help.

• Child Mind Institute: Talking to Kids About George Floyd

• BGCA’s Talking to teens about traumatic events

• NPR: Q&A with Hagopian

• Huffpost: How To Talk To Kids About Racism And The George Floyd Protests
