Consumer Personal Systems (CPS)- Global business unit within HP’s Printing and Personal Systems Group (PPS)
Tara Agen is Executive Director and Chief of Staff of the Consumer Personal Systems (CPS) global business unit within HP’s Printing and Personal Systems Group (PPS). This group focuses on PCs and Tablets for both consumer and micro business customers and represents a $207 billion market opportunity for HP. CPS is focused on consumer/Micro biz services, software, services and solutions that enhance HP’s consumer computing and printing experiences for its customers. She currently leads day to day operations and planning for CPS across the senior staff and its extended leadership team. She has a special focus on employee engagement and senior executive key relationships across key retailers, alliance partners and ODMs.
Agen has been at HP 20 years. In his most recent role, Tara helped lead the LaserJet and Enterprise Solutions global business unit in its turnaround. As an organization that spanned consumer to enterprise and leads a $100 billion market, she was responsible for operating and managing the day to day business and staff operations for HP LaserJet printers, supplies, managed print services and enterprise software solutions. During the turnaround, LaserJet drove 2ppts of hardware share and expanded margins +2ppts. This performance was enabled by hardware innovations like Flow MFPs and the first 3D LaserJet-Top Shot, expanded services offerings, including the acquisition of Printelligent, and novel cloud based software solutions including Exstream Relate, Flow CM and Smart Production Suite.
Prior to this role, Agen has held a variety of leadership roles at HP across enterprise, commercial and consumer businesses including printing, storage, servers and personal systems. Two of her most memorable breakthrough contributions include being on record as part of the team that built the fastest growing $1billion business in HP history: HP Pavilion PCs and building a unique bridge between HP and her community’s need to print more sustainably.
Tara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Regis College, Westin, MA, and an Executive Finance Degree from Columbia University. She lives in San Diego with her husband and enjoys gardening, water color painting, collecting art and giving back to the communities she lives in.
