Our 2016 Youth of the Year, Yvette Conde
Competes at County Competition
This past March, our 2016 Youth of the Year, Yvette Conde, competed among 7 other local Boys & Girls Clubs representatives for the title of San Diego County Youth of the Year. Each contestant gave a speech on the impact Boys & Girls Clubs have had on their life and what it means to them to be recognized as Youth of the Year. Yvette proudly represents Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito and delivered her speech with pose and confidence.
We are so proud of the progress Yvette has made since winning this prestigious title last year. Although she did not win at the County level, the way Yvette has grown into a confident young women has the most rewarding experience. Congratulations to Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside representative, Julie Hernandez, who will move on to represent San Diego County at the regional level competition.
We will announce our 2017 Youth of the Year winner at our annual Youth of the Year celebration scheduled for August 4, 2017 at the Del Mar Race Track.
