  • Ocean Knoll Clubhouse After School Program serves over 100 elementary school aged members every day. The dedicated staff is experienced, qualified, trained, and CPR & first aid certified. Education is a top priority and supported at the club through our strong academic based programs. We promote physical fitness with our active and fun athletics program, and we develop creative minds through our arts & crafts sessions. Here at Ocean Knoll, new and long-lasting friendships blossom through participation in our core activities with both kids and staff.

  • FINANCIAL AID

    Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito offers Financial Assistance/Scholarships to qualifying members. Financial Assistance/Scholarships are program specific and on a limited basis. All Financial Aid paperwork is kept confidential and must be filled out completely and turned in at least 5-7 business days prior to the program start date to allow for processing. Incomplete or late applications may delay processing time.

    All fees must be paid prior to start of program. For more information or to request an application please contact your local Clubhouse or Program Director.

After School Programs Offered

    Power Hour

    powerhourMaking Minutes Count helps Club members ages 6-18 achieve academic success by providing homework help, tutoring and high-yield learning activities and encouraging members to become self-directed learners. Printed program materials include a resource guide for program coordinators, homework helpers and tutors and a poster-sized Power Points chart for tracking and rewarding participants’ progress. Monday–Thursday 3:30pm-4:30pm

    Healthy Habits Too/ Gardening

    Healthy Habits and gardening is the “Mind” component of the Triple Play program. The Healthy Habits Too 10 week curricula is designed to teach young people about the benefits of developing healthy habits such as eating smart and being physically active; equip young people with skills to adopt healthier habits by participating in fun and engaging learning activities both at the Club and at home; and encourage young people to take small steps toward positive behavior changes.

    Anti-Bullying Program

    In an effort to combat the ever growing issue of bullying, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito has created a new program to debut during the 2017-18 After School Program called “We C.A.R.E.”. This program Promotes acceptance and compassion while equipping youth with the tools and resources they need for conflict resolution and social-emotional learning. Our goal is to empower youth and to stop bullying before it starts. When: 2nd Tuesday of every month from 3:30pm-4:30pm

    Triple Play

    Triple-Play-logo The “Body” component of Triple Play promotes becoming more physically active through fun daily fitness routines. Curricula/programs include Daily Challenges and Triple Play Leadership Clubs (formerly Sports Clubs). These resources encourage youth to become more physically active through fun fitness routines. Triple Play Leadership Clubs infuse small-group leadership and service into active play.
